Cubs

Cubs are on Thursdays and Fridays at 6.15pm until 7.45pm at Manor Beach School.

A group of Cub scouts is called a pack which is split into Sixes- we have coloured woggles to denote different sixes. Ideally there are 4 sixes with 6 boys in each. Cubs are invested usually after 4 weeks in the pack where they say their promise and law.

The average age for a cub is 8yrs to 10 ½ years.

Challenges

The Challenges compliment the balanced programme. These have been developed to extend Cub Scouts’ skills and experience. The Challenges are optional and continue throughout the sections providing continuity from the ages of 6 to 25.

  • The Outdoor Challenge
  • The Promise Challenge
  •  The Creative Challenge
  •  The Fitness Challenge
  •  The Global Challenge
  • The Community Challenge
  •  The Outdoor Plus Challenge

When 6 challenge badges are achieved, the Cub Scout will then gain the highest award available in Cubs, the Chief Scout’s Silver Award.
